Dear Bother

            I just received the word today that Freddie was posted missing on the night 17/18 August. I have been wondering very much if you got the information too. I am writing the Station tonight to see if I can get any detailed information. We are all hoping that he is safe somewhere. If I get any further news on this side I will cable you at once.

            I hope you and Edith are both well. We are all well at home.
